“Combining photography and music for ‘The Cal’ is very exciting and it will of course feature some extraordinary people.”
The (Everything I Do) I Do It for You rocker said he’ll begin shooting in a few weeks, with more details on models to be announced in coming months.
His involvement comes following the success of the 2020 Calendar shot by Italian photographer Paolo Roversi, and marks the return of the Pirelli Calendar, which was suspended last year due to the pandemic.
The previous edition featured Emma Watson, Kristen Stewart and Claire Foy, with the shoot taking inspiration from Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet and reimagining the heroine of Shakespeare’s tragedy.
The Pirelli Calendar was first published in 1964, and was given as a limited edition gift to clients and celebrities. It was discontinued in 1974, but was brought back 10 years later.
