Bryan Adams invited Melanie C on stage during his show at the DCBL Stadium in Widnes for a performance of their hit single When You’re Gone.
The rocker is currently on the road in support of his latest album ‘So Happy It Hurts’ and introduced his surprise guest mid-way through his set.
In addition to their classic duet, the pair also treated the crowd to a rendition of Frankie Valli’s Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.
“When Mel C drops in for a sing-a-long,” penned Bryan in an Instagram post following the performance. Melanie added: “Love you.
“Thank you for being such a wonderful friend.”
Speaking in the April 2022 issue of Retro Pop, Bryan opened up about his latest album and admitted that, four decades into his career, he still struggles to comprehend his superstar status.
“Someone said to me, ‘Do you ever hear some buskers doing your songs?’ and I said, ‘Yeah, me!’,” he laughed. “It still feels like I’m busking all this time later.”
