Bruce Hornsby has teamed up with Danielle Haim on the new single Days Ahead.
Lifted from his latest LP ‘‘Flicted – his third in four years – the track was directed by the multi-instrumentalist and filmed during the pandemic.
It’s one of a number of collaborations on the LP, which also features Ezra Koenig and contributions from Rob Moose and yMusic.
‘Flicted completes a trilogy of records based on film “cues” Bruce composed for writer and director Spike Lee.
This unique approach enables him to build upon and explore new stylistic techniques while collaborating with a wide variety of talented artists.
On ‘‘Flicted’, his goal was to make a more upbeat record overall, speaking on Covid-19 using the world of science as a recurring influence.
