Rising star Bronze Avery has released his debut album ‘SOFTMETAL’.
The singer’s first long-player features the pre-release cuts SAY GOODNIGHT and FIGURE IT OUT and, according to Bronze, is “inspired by situations that ultimately taught me how to let go of things and allow people to come in and out of your life.”
“When people listen to the album, I hope what they hear is growth. Not just in sound, but as a person,” he tells Retro Pop’s December 2022 issue. “As I was making this album the wounds felt fresh, but I knew they would heal. The feelings were in fragments, but the pieces of the story were there.

It took a great deal of self-work to mould into something that would inspire people to create their own emotional armour and I hope people know they can do that work for themselves too.”
He adds: “I also want people to get rid of the idea that they have to put music into boxes they understand. Art doesn’t have to be categorised for it to be valid or resonate with many.”
The majority of the Los Angeles-based star’s debut is self-written, -produced and -performed, with a sound somewhere between R&B and indie rock.
‘SOFTMETAL’ is available now.
