Britney Spears appears to be writing her memoirs.
The singer was recently released from an oppressive conservatorship that had loomed over her life for almost 14 years – and now it seems she’s ready to tell her story.
Taking to Instagram, the Piece of Me hitmaker shared a snap of a typewriter and cryptically penned: “Shall I start from THE BEGINNING???”
Her post coincides with the release of sister Jamie Lynn Spears’ own autobiography and, when she announced the publication, the Toxic star hinted she’d also tell her life story.
“I’m thinking of releasing a book next year,” wrote Britney last year. “But I’m having issues coming up with a title so maybe my fans could help !!!!
“Option #1 … ‘Sh*t, I really don’t know’ Option #2 … ‘I really care what people think’ !!!!’ What do you guys think ????”
Meanwhile, Britney recently hinted at a return to the recording studio for the first time in years, having not released new music since her 2016 LP ‘Glory’.
Alongside a clip of herself rehearsing to the mirror, she wrote: “I just realized this today guys … after what my family tried to do to me three years ago … I needed to be my own cheerleader!!!! God knows they weren’t…” penned the I Wanna Go star.
Britney went on to share a bunch of impressive statistics from her storied career, before adding: “No … I’m not auditioning for anything !!!! I’m reminding myself and the world of who I am !!!!
“Yes … I will be my own cheerleader … why ???? I’m here to remind my white “classy” family that I haven’t forgotten what they did to me nor will I ever forget !!!!”
Closing the post, she teased: “Pssss new song in the works … I’m gonna let you know what I mean!!!!!”
Following Britney’s career break, it was recently reported she is looking to get back to work and discussing new projects
After her long-term manager Larry Rudolph quit in July, the Radarsinger is apparently eyeing Bobby Campbell to take the reins going forward, with insiders revealing she “has a lot of respect for the working relationship Bobby has with Lady Gaga”.
“Britney thinks they might make a good team,” they said. “It is early days but she feels there is potential. The ideas being discussed include a greatest hits album with new bonus tracks, and live dates which are being seen as her farewell tour.”
