Britney Spears is back in contact with Benny Blanco – the producer behind her hit 2008 single Circus.
It’s been six years since the pop princess released her latest long-player ‘Glory’ and, according to Benny, she’s been discussing creating new records.
“I actually recently just reached out to try to start working on some stuff. Like a month ago,” he tells TMZ. “I hope [to work with Britney] soon.
“We were talking about trying to do something. I love her new things she put out. She’s incredible. I hope she is doing it.”
Having recently returned to the charts with her Elton John collaboration Hold Me Closer, Britney’s comeback follows the termination of her 13-year-long conservatorship, which has left her reluctant to return to the stage.
Citing her lack of creative control and unpleasant experience working with photographers, she explained: “…[T]he most offensive SO CALLED professional pictures on every tour.
“I mean they could have at least cheated and retouched them for me … just saying … 2 day shoots for new show in Vegas literally the worst ever … and me excited for the pictures for 5 months on tour … they never showed me any,” added the singer.
“I’d rather quit shit in my pool and shoot photos of myself in studios over working with the most offensive people in my life.”
Adding she was uncomfortable with the number of dancers she was forced to perform with during her ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ residency, she shared: “I’m pretty traumatised for life and yes I’m pissed as fuck and no I won’t probably perform again just because I’m stubborn and I will make my point.”
The I’m a Slave 4 U star last performed live in 2017.
