Britney Spears is working on new music.
The Toxic hitmaker, who was recently released from the conservatorship that had loomed over her life since 2008, took to Instagram to show off her vocal abilities.
Although Britney hasn’t released music since 2016 album ‘Glory’, she insisted she’s realised she “needed to be [her] own cheerleader”.
“I just realized this today guys … after what my family tried to do to me three years ago … I needed to be my own cheerleader!!!! God knows they weren’t…” penned the I Wanna Go star.
Britney went on to share a bunch of impressive statistics from her storied career, before adding: “No … I’m not auditioning for anything !!!! I’m reminding myself and the world of who I am !!!!
“Yes … I will be my own cheerleader … why ???? I’m here to remind my white “classy” family that I haven’t forgotten what they did to me nor will I ever forget !!!!”
Closing the post, she teased: “Pssss new song in the works … I’m gonna let you know what I mean!!!!!”
Following Britney’s career break, it was recently reported she is looking to get back to work and discussing new projects
After her long-term manager Larry Rudolph quit in July, the Radar singer is apparently eyeing Bobby Campbell to take the reins going forward, with insiders revealing she “has a lot of respect for the working relationship Bobby has with Lady Gaga”.
“Britney thinks they might make a good team,” they said. “It is early days but she feels there is potential. The ideas being discussed include a greatest hits album with new bonus tracks, and live dates which are being seen as her farewell tour.”
