Britney Spears is reportedly planning to work on her first new music in six years.
The singer hasn’t released a record since 2016’s ‘Glory’ but, according to insiders, she’s laying the foundations for a brand new project.
It’s been reported she’s hoping to work with Claude Kelly – the man behind her hits Womanizer, Circus and If U Seek Amy – on the project.
“It is very early days and Britney isn’t putting any pressure on herself to release an album right away or anything, but her team are putting feelers out about the prospect of new music,” they said (via The Sun)
“Several people who she feels comfortable working with have been contacted and asked if they would like to work on music with Britney again and everyone seems pretty keen to be involved.
“She has been through an incredibly tough few years but deep down she does love making music and performing so to have some new music out there could really help her turn over a new leaf.”
It was previously reported Britney is assembling a new team around her to kickstart her career, following the end of her conservatorship.
After her long- term manager Larry Rudolph quit in July, Britney is apparently eyeing Bobby Campbell to take the reins going forward.
“She has a lot of respect for the working relationship Bobby has with Lady Gaga,” an insider said. “Britney thinks they might make a good team.
“It is early days but she feels there is potential.”
They added: “The ideas being discussed include a greatest hits album with new bonus tracks, and live dates which are being seen as her farewell tour.”
