Britney Spears has assured fans she’s “fine” after receiving her Covid-19 vaccine.
The Toxic hitmaker and her boyfriend Sam Asghari have both received their vaccination against the virus, and shared a video online on Thursday (April 8) to mark the occasion.
“Okay, the people on the Internet said it was really, really bad, it was like a bullet going through your arm,” explained the singer. “It was nothing. I felt nothing. I’m fine, and I hope I continue to stay fine.”
She captioned the clip: “Got the COVID vaccine …. Great success …. High-five !!!!!! @samasghari [sic]”
The Gimme More star has dominated headlines in recent months as she continues to be locked in a legal battle against her father, Jamie Spears, who gained control over Britney’s life following her public breakdown in 2008.
According to reports, Britney is refusing to return to the stage until Jamie steps down from overseeing her affairs.
While the I’m a Slave 4 U singer has petitioned to have him permanently removed from her conservatorship, fans have also advocated for her freedom with the #FreeBritney campaign, which has garnered high-profile support and sparked much debate in recent weeks.
