Boy George has recruited his former ‘The Voice Australia’ contestant Aya Yves for his latest single The Trouble With Love.
The young singer found a home on Team George after auditioning for the hit talent contest and, although she didn’t win the show, she landed a massive duet with her Culture Club star mentor.
George tweeted: “Some @TheVoiceAU coaches actually put their music where their mouth is.
“@ayayvesmusic was on my team and did not make the final. Or is that some other narrative? Out now. More to come!”
Of recording the tune, which she described as “very ‘80s glam pop”, Aya previously revealed: “He really is super lovely, very generous and we have some things in common.
“He is very into astrology and we bonded over the fact that we are both air signs (she’s a Libra and he’s a Gemini).
“We also bonded over our love of Joni Mitchell. We had fun.”
The track, one of several standalone releases from the Karma Chameleon star, is out now.
