Boy George has made peace with former Culture Club star Jon Moss after firing the drummer from his band.

Moss was one of the founding members of the Karma Chameleon hitmaking group, but when the band hit the road in 2018 he was noticeably absent, with a spokesperson for George confirming at the time: “Jon’s taking a break from Culture Club but the door is open in the future.”

In December 2019, however, Moss filed a suit at London’s High Court naming George and bandmates Roy Hay and Mikey Craig as defendants. According to the star, he was told to “take a break” by manager Paul Kemsley, and is seeking £200,000) in missing payments.

Speaking to the Daily Star, George, who is currently working on a script for a forthcoming biopic project, explained that revisiting the band’s storied history encouraged him to reach out to Moss.

“We are having this court case so I thought I would call him as I thought I was really moved by the script and I was really moved by the story of how we met and I suddenly thought: ‘You know what, I forgot about all that’,” he shared.

“I forgot about all that really amazing stuff when I met him and you know how much I was in love with him and how it was so beautiful and exciting and all the stuff happened.”

The Do You Really Want To Hurt Me star added: “It got lost in all this kind of bitterness and all this feuding. So it was interesting for me to sit with Jon and go: ‘Actually mate, I might have to apologise to you for some things.'”

So, can we talk about that new album now…
