Boy George has poked fun at Madonna’s response to Lil Nas X’s onstage kiss at the BET Awards last month.
The Queen of Pop came under fire after she responded to the rapper’s appearance at the show, during which he shared a passionate kiss with a dancer as part of his Egyptian-themed performance of Montero (Call Me By Your Name).
While fans praised the hitmaker for the Pride Month moment, Madonna took to her Instagram Stories to share her thoughts on the lip-locking, posting a screenshot from her MTV VMAs kiss with Britney Spears in 2003 and writing “#DidItFirst”.

And while she was defended by the rapper, who insisted the pair are “friends,” George took to social media over the weekend to share his thoughts.
Alongside a snap of himself and Erasure’s Andy Bell kissing onstage at the 1989 BRIT Awards, he penned: “We did it first @madonna.”
The Culture Club frontman famously feuded with Madonna in the ‘80s, but in recent years has shared his regret, insisting he’s “embarrassed” by his behaviour.
His throwback tweet comes after the Karma Chameleon star revealed he and Andy are collaborating on new music.
Sharing a selfie of the pair, he penned: “The glowing soul of Andy Bell we were writing and recording for a future drama!”
Continuing to tease their work together, he added: “I wrote the most insane song with Andy Bell called ‘That Night In Brazil’ we are pop music’s finest surrealists!”
It comes as he plans to celebrate his 60th birthday with a year of music, after dropping one album ‘Cool Karaoke Vol. 1’ earlier this year, and preparing another for late 2021.
