Boy George has teamed up with Erasure star Andy Bell to work on new music.
The Culture Club frontman has been on a music releasing spree in recent weeks, dropping a handful of standalone tracks, including latest single Drive.
It comes as he plans to celebrate his 60th birthday with a year of music, after dropping one album ‘Cool Karaoke Vol. 1’ earlier this year, and preparing another for late 2021.
And the new LP could feature a collaboration with Erasure star Andy, if George’s latest social media post is anything to go by.
Sharing a selfie of the pair, he penned: “The glowing soul of Andy Bell we were writing and recording for a future drama!”
Continuing to tease the pair’s work together, he added: “I wrote the most insane song with Andy Bell called ‘That Night In Brazil’ we are pop music’s finest surrealists!”
It’s not the Do You Really Want to Hurt Me star’s only collaboration in recent weeks; the singer teamed up with Kim Wilde for Shine On, the first single from her forthcoming ‘Pop Don’t Stop – Greatest Hits‘ release.
Kim also appeared on ‘Cool Karaoke Vol. 1‘, lending vocals to the track Name and Number.
New music follows George’s announcement that a movie based on his life and career will begin filming over the summer, as he launched a search for the flick’s leading star.
‘Karma Chameleon’ will shoot “in London and around the world,” George reveals, while hinting at casting details for the highly-anticipated project in a new social media video.
