Boy George kicked off 2021 with a bang by surprise releasing his latest solo album ‘Cool Karaoke, Vol.1’ – and there’s lots more to come from the sound of things…
Taking to Twitter, the Culture Club frontman confirmed another new project, ‘my ‘Opus can’t Copas’, will be released to coincide with the Karma Chameleon singer’s 60th birthday.
Alongside a clip of himself featuring a new song playing in the background, he revealed: “All these song will form part of ‘my ‘Opus can’t Copa’s’ for my 60th birthday in June!
“60 new songs which includes a ton of collaborations!”
While further details of the project remain under wraps, it’ll no doubt be as well-received as George’s last release, which features the previously released Rainbow In The Dark and What Would You Call Unreasonable.

The album, which was released exclusively as a stream on YouTube, includes collaborations with Asaf Goren, Shay D and ’80s legend Kim Wilde.
‘Cool Karaoke Vol 1’ came one month after George and Culture Club hit the stage at the SSE Arena, Wembley for their Rainbow In The Dark live stream show, which featured classic hits and new tracks.
New music isn’t all that’s keeping the singer busy – he’s been hard at work on a biopic about his life, which is currently being mapped out..
The project is being written and directed by Sacha Gervasi, with former One Direction star Harry Styles in line to play the lead role, according to reports.
