Bonnie Tyler has plenty to look forward to as she reveals work is underway on a new album and her first-ever memoir.

The singer – who is celebrating 40 years since the release of her classic hit Total Eclipse of the Heart, lifted from her seminal fifth album ‘Faster Than the Speed of Night’ (1983) – opened up about her latest projects during an appearance on This Morning.

She told Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle: “I’m still recording, I’m going into the studio with David Mackay and making a new album.

“It won’t be out anytime soon, but we’re thinking maybe release five tracks at a time or something like that.”

The material will be her first since 2021’s ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’ and will be accompanied by Bonnie’s long-awaited autobiography.

“I’ve been asked so many times over the years about writing a book and go, ‘Nobody’s going to want to hear about my life’! I still think the same thing,” she laughed. “But anyway, I am; I’m doing a memoir.”

According to the vocalist, the tome will detail her early years growing up and Wales and explore her rise to global stardom in the seventies.
