Steve Wolfe, the songwriter behind early Bonnie Tyler hits including It’s a Heartache and Lost in France, has died.
The lyricist, who helped kickstart the Welsh star’s career in music, passed away recently aged 81, a post on the Total Eclipse of the Heart hitmaker’s website confirmed.
She penned: “I’m so very sad to hear about the passing of Steve Wolfe. I have nothing but happy, fond memories of him and Angie from my early recording days in the 70s.

“When I was first invited to London to make some demos, one of them turned out to be our very first hit record together – ‘Lost in France’.
“It was written by Steve Wolfe and Ronnie Scott, and produced by David Mackay, who I’m happily still working with to this day.”
She added: “God bless you Steve, rest in peace.”
His writing credits also include the UK’s 1972 Eurovision Song Contest entry Beg, Steal or Borrow, performed by The New Seekers. It finished in second place.
