Fans of 90s boyband Blue are convinced the group predicted the coronavirus pandemic in two of their classic hits.
Daily Mail Political Editor John Stevens took to Twitter to share a thread of posts, after finding unlikely references to the situation in their tracks Fly By II and Bubblin’.
In the first track, the group sing the lines, “System up with the top down / Got the city on lockdown,” mirroring the current Covid-19 lockdown.
Meanwhile, in Bubblin’, the four-piece refer to two people spending time together as Bubblin’ – much like Boris Johnson’s new “support bubble” model.
He also shared some more possible links – take a look.

However, while fans soon jumped on the bandwagon and singer Duncan James shared several of the posts, on the group’s official page, they seemed unconvinced that the lyrics were anything close to a premonition.
“We also predicted we’d be the best UK act at Eurovision for a long time to come,” they jokingly tweeted.

Blue were bubbling back in 2003. I'm sure if Lee Ryan can bubble, we can all do it for the good of the nation.https://t.co/VHwDAkuLlU
