Blink-182 look set to release new music later this month
The pop-punk trio released their most recent album, ‘Nine’, back in 2019, with the LP going Top 10 on both sides of the Atlantic and delivering singles such as Blame It On My Youth and Generational Divide.
The group have been teasing new material all month with posters containing the Blink-182 logo and the phrase ‘One more time…’, along with a link to a website playing various classic songs and a brief snippet of new material.
Lifting the lid on their plans, the band shared a teaser featuring a digital clock reading 9:21 and flipping between AM and PM, suggesting they will drop new music on September 21.
Last year, the group – starring Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker – marked the return of Tom DeLonge by releasing the single Edging, while confirming their ninth studio album was in the works.
DeLonge has called the project the group’s “best album” and their “most progressive”.
It comes ahead of a run of UK dates in October, a month after Blink-182 were forced to postpone headline shows in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin when Barker’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian, underwent “life-threatening emergency surgery” for their unborn baby.
The band will be playing shows in London, Birmingham and Manchester – the full list of dates is below.
