Beyoncé and SZA were the most awarded artists at this year’s BET Awards with three wins apiece. 

The ceremony, which honoured the year’s best performances in music, TV, film and sports, took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and celebrated 50 years of hip-hop, with Busta Rhymes receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.

During the show, the Destiny’s Child star and the R&B hitmaker both tied for the most wins and shared the Album of the Year Award for their records ‘Renaissance’ and ‘SOS’, respectively.

SZA also won Female R&B/Pop Artist and for Video of the Year for Kill Bill, while Beyonce’s Break My Soul won the Viewers Choice Award and the BET Her Award.

In another tie, Chris Brown and Usher shared the Male R&B/Pop Artist accolade.
