Beyonce’s mum Tina Knowles has opened up on the star’s “very stressful’ 2009 ‘I Am…’ World Tour.
The Formation singer hit the road in support of her third solo LP ‘I Am… Sasha Fierce’, featuring hit singles If I Were a Boy, Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It), Sweet Dreams and more.
Sharing a clip from the jaunt on social media, showing Beyonce flipping through the air while suspended over her audience during the Sean Paul collaboration Baby Boy, Tina admitted she “prayed every night” during the daredevil segment.
“I prayed through this segment every night! And aged 10 years on this tour! As my fearless child flipped 20 times hundreds of feet into the air,” she penned.
“I was like, ‘Can’t you just spin around on the stage?’ Do you have to be so extra!’”
The ‘I Am…’ World Tour kicked off in 2009 and wrapped in 2010 after a total of 108 shows. It was Beyonce’s fourth tour.
Tina’s post comes after Beyonce told Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams she’s “cooking” new music.
While promoting Michelle’s book ‘Checking In: How Getting Real about Depression Saved My Life – and Can Save Yours’, the girls talked about what they were up to, with Kelly saying she was making a soup.
Meanwhile, Bey revealed she’d been working on her music, teasing: “I’m cooking some music… That’s Chef Boyardee and Chef Boy-Kelly.”
