Beyoncé has sent a gushing note to Madonna after mashing up her latest hit Break My Soul with the Queen of Pop’s Vogue.
The track was released as the lead single from the former Destiny’s Child star’s seventh studio album ‘Renaissance’ and has been remixed a number of times since.
The latest edit features an interpolation of the ‘I’m Breathless’ single and, in a note to Madonna, Beyoncé penned “Thank you, Queen.
“I’m so grateful for you. You have opened so many doors for so many women. You are masterpiece genius,” she added.
“Thank you for allowing me to sing in your song and thank you for naming the remix!!!! Love always and forever, B.”
Madonna shared a snap of the letter and a bouquet of flowers on her Instagram page.
The track marks the pair’s first collaboration and follows a four-track remix EP, featuring reworks from will.i.am, Honey Dijon and others.
In a review of the album, Retro Pop noted that what stands out on ‘Renaissance’ is “the fun that Beyoncé has over the course of the project, which is undoubtedly her most joyous release in years.”
‘Renaissance’ is available now.
