Bananarama’s 1995 album Ultra Violet is finally getting an official UK release after 25 years.
The girls began teasing an announcement on social media on Wednesday and, on Friday morning, they confirmed the record, released internationally as I Found Love in some territories, would finally come out in the UK.
“Exciting news! You asked for it so here it is- A limited edition reissue of #ULTRAVIOLET that includes #IFoundLove will be released 7th August 2020,” they shared.
The release will be available on clear violet 12” vinyl and via digital platforms. Signed copies are available here.
The album, which includes the singles Every Shade Of Blue and Take Me To Your Heart, was the follow-up to the brilliant Please Yourself, and came at a time when the duo didn’t have a major label deal.
It has since remained unavailable on streaming services in the UK.
The single I Found Love is also included on the new release as a bonus track.
Last year, Sara and Keren regained the rights to Ultra Violet and the follow-up Exotica – which is now their only album to not be re-released.
In addition to the Ultra Violet re-release, Bananarama will also release their first-ever memoir, Really Saying Something, in October.
