Backstreet Boys have released the video for their remake of Wham!’s classic holiday hit Last Christmas.
The track appears on the boy band’s festive album ‘A Very Backstreet Christmas’, alongside a selection of cover versions and original recordings.
“It’s officially the holiday season,” penned the group. “To kick things off, the music video for ‘Last Christmas’ is OUT NOW! We hope you all enjoy it!”
Backstreet Boys – starring AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, and Brian Littrell – released their holiday LP last month, with Howie sharing: “We’ve been wanting to do a Christmas album for nearly 30 years now and we’re beyond excited that it’s finally happening.
“We had such a fun experience putting our BSB twist on some of our favourite Christmas classics and can’t wait to be part of our fans’ holiday season.”
Tracks on the LP include renditions of White Christmas, Silent Night, and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, along with originals Christmas In New York, Together, and Happy Days.
Of the LP, Retro Pop wrote in a review: “On paper, a Backstreet Boys Christmas album could go one of two ways, so it’s the most pleasant of surprises that ‘A Very Backstreet Christmas’ is so good and a reminder that, ahead of the band’s 30th anniversary next year, they’re remain as strong as ever.”
‘A Very Backstreet Christmas’ is available now.
