Former ‘The X Factor’ finalist Amelia Lily has joined S Club – well, sort of…
The singer, who scored chart hits including You Bring Me Joy and Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got) after finishing in third place on the show’s 2011 series, announced she’s joining Tina Barrett and Bradley McIntosh for a string of S Club Party shows.
Alongside a picture with the pair – who used to perform with Jo O’Meara – she penned: “Who’s ready to reach with us tonight?!
“First show with these guys tonight, been a long time coming,” added Amelia, along with the hashtag “#sclubparty”.
Writing on her own page, Tina shared: “1st show with @london_citiboy and the gorge @amelialily11 awesome crowd thank you @theknowsleysocial more to come #tourlife #tour #freedom #sclub.”
Added Bradley: “Great show with @misstinaannbarrett & @amelialily11 looking forward to the next one.”
Although Tina and Bradley will continue to perform as S Club 2, Amelia will join the pair for select shows throughout August and September.
Tina, Bradley and Jo have been performing as a trio for a number of years, but became a duo after Jo departed to focus on her solo career, with her second studio album due later this year.
Speaking about the future of the group, also starring Hannah Spearritt, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole and Rachel Stevens, Jo recently mused: “I think I’d be up for [a reunion]. Yeah. When the time, if the timing’s right…
“Because obviously getting seven diaries together to sort of like, it’s tough because you know, few of us have got children and people are married and got other careers going on.
