ABBA have shared a previously-unreleased Q&A with Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus while celebrating one year of their comeback album ‘Voyage’.
The group returned to the charts in November 2021 with their first album in 40 years, which topped the charts globally.
Filmed back in March of this year, the clip sees the duo “talking about ABBA, songwriting and the album”.
Of the record’s success, ABBA said last year: “We are so happy that our fans seem to have enjoyed our new album as much as we enjoyed making it!
“We are absolutely over the moon to have an album at the top of the charts again.”
In a review of the album, Retro Pop called ‘Voyage’ “a fitting closing chapter in the tale of Sweden’s best-loved musical export”.
‘Voyage’ is available on CD, vinyl and cassette.
Following the release, the group launched their digital concert ‘ABBA Voyage’, which plays exclusively at the ABBA Arena in Stratford, east London.
The venue is purpose built for the show, which offers a 360-degree immersive experience, and speaking in Retro Pop’s August 2022 issue, producer Ludvig Andersson suggests they’re working on creating similar arenas around the world.
“The biggest dream is to stay in London and we build another one somewhere else,” he says. “Where that would be – I’d like to go places that are maybe not the obvious ones. It would be nice to take it to places that aren’t always visited by the big bands.
“The dream would be to have one somewhere in South America, one somewhere in Southeast Asia, one in North America. Who knows? But that’s the plan and we’re working on that already.”
