ABBA will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their debut album ‘Ring Ring’ this spring.
Released in Sweden on March 26, 1973, ‘Ring Ring’ documents the supergroup’s earliest output, including first single People Need Love and the title song, which formed the blueprint for their future material.
Originally credited to Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Frida – as the name ABBA didn’t quite exist yet – the album’s huge success put paid to solo aspirations within the band and sealed the deal for the future of the four-piece.
