Cher is working on new music – including a collaboration that “nobody would think” would happen.
The pop icon revealed the news in an interview with Vogue when asked whether fans could expect new music any time soon.
“I’m about to make an album, but I’m also about to make a song – the craziest collab ever,” she shared.
Although she stopped short of revealing the identity of her collaborator, the ‘Believe’ hitmaker doubled down that its someone fans would not expect.
“I can’t talk about it, but it’s great,” Cher continued. “It’s a collab nobody would think about. But they wouldn’t think, that’s too crazy.”
A new album would be Cher’s first since her ‘Christmas‘ LP – featuring the UK Top 20 hit ‘DJ Play A Christmas Song’ – which arrived in 2023. Last year, she released the standalone holiday track ‘Christmas Is Here’.
Her most-recent non-festive album, the ABBA covers collection ‘Dancing Queen’, was released in 2018 – five years after ‘Closer To The Truth’, her last LP of original material.
