Launching into a brand-new era, Jessie Ware is back with ‘I Could Get Used To This’ – the decadent lead single from her upcoming fifth studio album.
The singer-songwriter – who released her most-recent full-length album, ‘That! Feels Good!‘, in 2023 – dropped the glossy track as “the opening statement of a new era”, according to a press release.
“’I Could Get Used To This’ is an invitation into the world of this album,” says the ‘Pearls’ hitmaker. “I wanted to set the scene of the world that I’m trying to paint in the album; romance, real love, performance, celebration and pleasure (always!) in a garden full of gods and goddesses.
“I wrote this song with Miranda Cooper, Sophia Brenan and Jon Shave who are legends in British pop music. I’ve always admired Miranda’s work so I’m incredibly glad to have a record with her.
“First key change I’ve ever done – I think – and exciting start to you hearing more from my work with Jon Shave and Barney Lister amongst the other fantastic collaborators on this project.”
Influenced by Grace Jones, Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand, the single comes accompanied by an elaborate, theatrical video, directed by Fa & Fon.
