SZA played a snippet of a track from her new album ‘Lana’ during her headline set at BST Hyde Park on Saturday (June 29).
The R&B star SZA asked the crowd, “New album, you ready?”, before performing a snippet of an unreleased song which was later revealed to be called Storytime in a post on her social media accounts.
Lyrics include: ‘I know you told stories about me. Most of them awful. All of them true. Here’s some for you.’
Earlier this year, SZA released her latest single Saturn and previewed another unreleased song, currently dubbed DTM, at an Apple Live event in New York.
Last September, the star revealed her forthcoming record was originally planned as a deluxe edition of ‘SOS’ but has evolved to become “a whole ‘nother album” featuring “7-10 songs”.
She later shared an update on the project, saying: “‘Lana’ deserves more time and music no one’s ever heard before.”
During her London show – ahead of SZA’s headline set at Glastonbury on Sunday (June 30) – the hitmaker performed a crowd-pleasing set including Kill Bill, Drew Barrymore, All The Stars, Supermodel, Love Galore and more.
She also included a mash-up of Prince’s classic Kiss with Kiss Me More, her collaboration with Doja Cat.
Speaking at the end of the show, following a performance of 20 Something, SZA told the crowd: “Today was my first day performing with the new set. You’re like my second home. I’ll always come back here. You’re the best crowd. I love you. Goodnight!”
