The Libertines are back at the top of the UK Albums Chart with their latest LP, ‘All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade’.
The fourth studio LP from Pete Doherty, Carl Barât, John Hassall and Gary Powell is their first in almost a decade – since 2015’s ‘Anthems For Doomed Youth’ – and was an early frontrunner in the chart race.
Now, OfficialCharts has confirmed the group has bagged the pole position, marking their first No. 1 since their 2004 eponymous release.
“We are all of us in the gutter, but today we’re looking at the stars,” said the band of the milestone. “Thanks for the love. We need it.”
Last week’s No. 1, Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter‘, falls to two, while The K’s are at No. 3 with their debut LP, ‘I Wonder If The World Knows?’, and Conan Gray enters at No. 4 with his third album, ‘Found Heaven‘.
Rounding out the Top 5 is ‘Guts’ by Olivia Rodrigo.
