Rialto are reuniting after a two-decade hiatus for their first gig in 20 years at the Shiiine On Weekender at the Butlins Arena in Minehead.
The group – which became the first ever UK chart band to release a single exclusively through the internet with Monday Morning 5:19 – will return to the spotlight as part of a line-up including The Rifles, The Primitives, Sleeper, Martin McAloon and The Supernaturals.
“We are beyond excited to tell you that RIALTO will be performing at Shiiine On Weekender on 18th November,” they announced.
“We want to say thanks to all of you that have been listening to the music all this time. We cannot wait to play for you again!”
Shiiine On Weekend bosses added: “We’re blown away to have you getting back together and playing our festival.”
The rockers formed in 1997 and released their self-titled debut album in 1998, followed by their second and final album, ‘Night On Earth’, in 2001.
Their ‘98 single, Untouchable, went Top 20 in the UK and they found greater success in East and Southeast Asia, including South Korea, where their first LP topped the charts.
In the years since their split, frontman Louis Eliot released his debut solo album, Long Way Round, in 2004 and since 2011 has toured as a full-time member of Grace Jones’s band.
