Bananarama’s Ultra Violet makes it debut on the UK albums charts this week – 25 years after it was initially released.
The album, which includes the singles Every Shade Of Blue and Take Me To Your Heart, was the follow-up to the brilliant Please Yourself, and came at a time when the duo didn’t have a major label deal.
It has since remained unavailable on streaming services in the UK – until last Friday, when it made it’s long-awaited debut. A limited clear violet vinyl LP was also released.
After 25 years, the record proved as popular as ever, as it finally made its debut on several UK charts, including:
- Vinyl Album Chart: No. 12
- Independent Albums Chart: No. 15
- Albums Sales Chart: No. 46
- Physical Albums Chart: No. 47
Ultra Violet almost completes the Vinyl reissues of Bananarama’s back catalogue – now, about that Exotica re-release…
