Confidence Man have teamed up with Daniel Avery on their new track, On & On (Again).
Introducing a more club-oriented sound from the electro pop group, who have signed a deal with Polydor following the global success of their second and most-recent album ‘TILT’, the track paves the way for a new era from the act.
“Dan knows what’s good,” they said in a statement. “And Conman does too. It’s a match made in sexy rave heaven. A naughty international subgenre mashup. Yin and Yang in parachute pants. And we did it all for you. Open up and let us in.”

Last year, RETROPOP caught up with Confidence Man frontman Sugar Bones about the creation of the group’s latest record, which was conceived during strict lockdowns in Melbourne.
“We were living together because we knew that, if this lockdown thing was going to really take off, we wanted to be together so we could get something done, because all the touring was off the cards,” he recalled.
“So we moved in together, we had this home studio and yeah, I think it pretty much saved our lives having this big project to work on.”
Although partying was off the cards, the group managed to maintain the vibe by turning their garden shed into a club and enjoying their own raves every night.
“We listened to a whole bunch of stuff. Lots of dance stuff at the time,” Sugar explained. “We got turning the back shed into a little rave cave – the fuck bunker – maybe like six months in.
“We partied in the kitchen more times than anyone should ever party in the kitchen – I think everyone is familiar with that – so we were like, ‘Let’s do something. Let’s turn the shed into a club.’
“So we bought a smoke machine, some lasers, dragged out the decks and these crappy little home speakers. It was the same people [every night], but we just got super lit, cranked the smoke machine, danced in the shed all night and called it a club. It was actually awesome!”
