Ellie Goulding is reportedly set to open up on her life and career in a new documentary.
According to The Sun’s Bizarre column, the Miracle singer has invited cameras into her life as she begins filming for the as-yet-untitled project.
Insiders say the hitmaker is hoping the special will highlight her work away from the studio in her battle against global warming.
A source said: “Ellie is keen to let fans into her world and speak beyond her music.Earlier this year she invited cameras to record her life away from red carpets and show the real her.
“Obviously the project will cover her music and time in the studio which she has built at home but Ellie also wants to shine a greater light on her work as a climate change activist.
“She is really passionate about using her profile for good and thinks a documentary will do just that.”
It follows a series of similar projects from stars including Lewis Capaldi and U2, who worked with Netflix and Disney+, respectively, on their shows.
The timing couldn’t be better: Ellie recently scored a UK chart double when her Calvin Harris collaboration Miracle and fifth album ‘Higher Than Heaven’ both hit No. 1 simultaneously.
In a review of the album, RETROPOP called ‘Higher Than Heaven’ a “fine pop record” that features “some of her strongest material” to date.
‘Higher Than Heaven’ is out now on Polydor.
