Madonna has shared a heartfelt message with fans expressing her gratitude to fans following the “overwhelming” demand for tickets for her 40th-anniversary ‘Celebration Tour’.
The forthcoming shows from the Queen of Pop will encompass her record-breaking, four-decade career, launching in North America on July 15 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC.
It will then make its way to Europe where she will hit 11 cities throughout the autumn.
After announcing an initial set of 35 dates, multiple shows sold out and Madonna announced a bunch of additional dates, including a total four shows at The O2, London.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, the Like a Prayer singer took to Instagram and thanked her loyal supporters for the love.
“I just want to say thank you to all of my fans for all of your love and support over the last few days,” she said.
“I don’t take any of this for granted, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world and I’m so grateful for all of your support.”
Teasing what fans can expect from the concerts, she continued: “I can’t wait to put the show together and have a moment with each and every one of you on the stage to celebrate the last four decades of my journey, and I don’t take any of this for granted.”
According to a press release, the ‘Celebration Tour’ will take us on Madonna’s artistic journey through four decades and pays respect to the city of New York where her career in music began.
“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” says Madonna.
Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue will guest across all dates on the global tour.
