Beyoncé has shared a remix EP for her latest single Break My Soul.
The track is the first to be lifted from her seventh album ‘Renaissance’ and has been reworked by a host of stars, including Honey Dijon, will.i.am, Terry Hunter and Nita Aviance.
Each mix stays true to the spirit of the original, building on the track’s interpolation of Robin S’ Show Me Love while adding each artist’s influence to the production.
On ‘Renaissance’, Honey Dijon is credited as a producer and programmer on Cozy and Alien Superstar.
In a a thank you note to Beyoncé on Instagram, the star later penned: “Thank you @beyonce for this incredible moment.
“Meeting and working with you on Renaissance has been life changing. Your elegance, beauty, talent, work ethic, and vision is truly inspirational.”
She added: “To share my Chicago house music roots and black queer and trans culture with you and the world is profound and emotional. I am honored, humbled, delirious with joy, and proud.”
In a review of the album, Retro Pop noted that what stands out on ‘Renaissance’ is “the fun that Beyoncé has over the course of the project, which is undoubtedly her most joyous release in years.”
‘Renaissance’ is available now.
