UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell and Astro have released the new single We’ll Never Find Another Love in tribute to the late Astro.
The single is the latest to be lifted from forthcoming album ‘Unprecedented’, which follows the death of the multi-instrumentalist, who passed away after a “very short illness”, aged 64, last November.
Speaking about the track, Ali insists the release is a way of “keeping his memory alive”.
“Astro’s death came as such a shock, and I’m still reeling from it,” he explains. “This album is now more poignant and special than either of us could have imagined when we were recording it.
“Astro heartbreakingly passed just two weeks after we’d finished the final mixes, so this is a way of keeping his memory alive.”
‘Unprecedented’ is the follow-up to 2018’s ‘A Real Labour Of Love’, which peaked at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart.
Alongside several new songs, the collection features covers such as East 17’s Stay Another Day and Stevie Wonder’s Do Yourself A Favour.
‘Unprecedented’, due June 17, is available to pre-order now.
