Will Young will release his A-Z guide to mental health ‘Be Yourself and Happier’ later this year.
The All The Songs hitmaker’s latest project aims to channel his own experiences into a compact guide to help fans work on improving their own mental health.
The blurb reads: “‘Be Yourself and Happier’ sets out how to manage our everyday wellbeing, how to navigate our emotions, where they come from and how to create a balanced mindset with practical techniques everyone can use to ground themselves and set boundaries.
“Drawing on his own personal experience, Will shows us how to identify destructive patterns, develop good mindful habits, be true to who we are and grow into better versions of ourselves.
“‘Be Yourself and Happier’ will teach us all how to understand, accept, nurture, and allow ourselves to rise with our vulnerabilities, not in spite of them.”
Publisher Ebury Spotlight adds: “Mental health advocate Will Young pours positivity into your life sharing the lessons he has learnt at the coalface of depression and anxiety, to help you be your best self, and let go of anything holding you back.
“After suffering a breakdown in 2011, extensive therapy helped Will to unpick and interrogate everything he thought he knew: how he formed his identity, what he relied on for self-esteem and how he behaved and communicated.
“Everything he has learnt over the past 10 years, is now condensed into this accessible A-Z guide.”
‘Be Yourself and Happier’ is released April 21 and is available to pre-order now. Signed copies are also available.
Will was recently unveiled as a contestant on ‘The Masked Singer’ after performing on the show under the guise of Lionfish.
After being eliminated from the programme, the Leave Right Now vocalist shared his secret struggle with agoraphobia with host Joel Dommett
He revealed: “It’s been the most incredible opportunity and such a brilliant challenge to take on.
“As someone who’s agoraphobic, it’s the perfect show!”
Agoraphobia is defined as a fear of taking yourself from a familiar environment into the outside world.
Will’s return to the stage comes as he prepares to celebrate the 20th anniversary of winning the very first series of ‘Pop Idol’.
Alongside releasing a new greatest hits collection, Will has also announced plans to hit the road with a string of UK Tour dates in the pipeline.
