ABBA’s long-awaited comeback album ‘Voyage’ is the UK’s best-selling album from a classic act of 2021.
The group returned with a global livestream event back in September, during which they premiered two new singles – I Still Have Faith In You and Don’t Shut Me Down – and announced the release of their ninth studio record.
After smashing pre-order records, it topped the charts worldwide in November and, according to data from the Official Charts Company, is the UK’s third best-selling LP of 2021.
It places behind Adele’s hit record ‘30’ and Ed Sheeran’s ‘=’, which come in first and second place, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Top 10 features a handful of classic compilation releases, with Queen’s ‘Greatest Hits’ – the best-selling UK album of all time – coming in at No. 5.
Further down the ranking, Elton John’s ‘Diamonds’ compilation sits at No. 8, one place ahead of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘50 Years: Don’t Stop’ at No. 9.
