The Waterboys are back with new single The Liar.
The track is the first to be lifted from ‘All Souls Hill’, the group’s 15th studio album, due April 22.
Of the track, frontman Mike Scott says: “The Liar is a comment on recent and still-current events, and both the song and video speak for themselves.
“We were proud to work on this video with the brilliant Cold War Steve.”
It’s accompanied by a visual, featuring a haunting image by satirical collagist Cold War Steve, that takes a swipe at Donald Trump and the lies and deceit that infest those in power.
‘All Souls Hill’, due April 22, is available on CD, vinyl and cassette.
