Avril Lavigne has signed a new deal with Travis Barker’s DTA Records.
The Sk8ter Boi singer recently teamed up with the Blink-182 star and Willow Smith for their track GROW and she’s gone on to sign a more permanent deal with the rocker. .
“Let’s f**k s**t up!” she posted. “Just signed a record contract to Travis Barker’s record label DTA Records! Should I drop my first single next week?”
Travis launched DTA Records in 2019 as a joint venture with Elektra Records.
Avril returned earlier this year with Flames, a collaboration with her boyfriend Mod Sun, and she recently teased more new music is on the way.
“I have a lot of collaborations on this new record of mine. Maybe a collab with MGK [Machine Gun Kelly] and some other cool artists like that… Travis Barker…
“The album’s super rock and roll, pop-punk, and it’s a good time,” she added, before reiterating plans to drop tracks “in a month or two”.
It’s not just her seventh album that’s on the way – Avril also confirmed she’ll be hitting the road with a new tour in 2022.
