Madonna can’t get enough of Kanye West’s new album ‘Donda’.
The rapper dropped his long-awaited 10th LP on August 29, with its title a tribute to the star’s late mother.
Speaking in the latest issue of V magazine, Madonna, who is taking a break from music to write her biopic, revealed she’s keeping up with chart trends for when it comes to her 15th studio album.
“The only thing I’ve heard recently that has inspired me is Kanye’s record ‘Donda’,” she said.
“I can’t say I agree with all of his politics and the way that he thinks of women, or unmarried people having sex, or the gay community.
“But his work is on the razor’s edge, and it’s inspiring and rare.”
She added: “Everybody was waiting so long for his record to come out and then finally, when it came out, everybody else’s record came out too. And he still stood out.”
Madonna recently released her ‘Madame X’ concert documentary on Paramount+, along with a live album featuring tracks from the performance.
In a review of the record, Retro Pop said ‘Madame X (Music From The Theater Xperience)’ “captures the ‘Madame X’ Tour and reaffirms that she is and remains at the top of her game”.
