Boyzlife have shared the slick music video for their latest single The One.
The track is the first to be lifted from their first album of original material, due spring 2022, following their 2020 debut ‘Strings Attached’.
In the neon-drenched visual for the tune, Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy pay homage to movies like ‘Flashdance’ and ‘Footloose’ with a throwback ‘80s visual.
Brian says: “It’s the first official music video for the first Boyzlife original song and we wanted to bring together the song’s ‘80s influences, its energy and the movies we love.
Keith adds: “It was fun to play the villain in the music video, everyone knows I am also an actor but Brian is the one who will steal your hearts with his performance!”
While details of the group’s new album remain under wraps, Brian has opened up on their new direction, which channels the sounds of the ‘80s and ‘90s.
“Keith and I grew up in the 80s and 90s, the sound of that era is what made us want to be musicians in the first place,” he explained.
“When we first started talking about making this record as Boyzlife’s first studio album, we naturally talked about those influences a lot and have loved bringing these familiar sounds into our studio sessions and onto this record.”
