Destiny’s Child have “zero” plans to reunite according to their manager, Beyonce’s dad Mathew Knowles.
Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams sparked speculation an announcement is on the horizon after switching up their header images on Facebook and Twitter.
While fans were thrilled with the prospect of new music, Mathew tells TMZ the changes were routine updates to the group’s profiles and there’s nothing new in the works.
However, he did note the excitement at the thought of the reunion, admitting there’s “great” demand for Destiny’s Child’s comeback and said that he’ll take it into account.
The last time the trio were on stage together was at Coachella in 2018, when they performed a three-song medley of Lose My Breath, Say My Name and Soldier.
And earlier this year, they reunited virtually to mark the release of Michelle’s book ‘Checking In: How Getting Real about Depression Saved My Life – and Can Save Yours’.
During the chat, Beyonce revealed she’s been “cooking” new music, which is expected to be released soon.
In a subsequent interview, she said: “With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again.
“I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible.”The Run the World (Girls) hitmaker confirmed: “Yes, the music is coming!”
