Cher was due on the set of her latest movie Artist In Residence when the coronavirus lockdown began.
The singer, actress, and all-round icon is set to appear as Toni in the movie, according to IMDB, about, “The son of a real estate mogul (who) is sent to buy-out the last remaining resident of an Iconic New York building, which proves to be more trouble than he bargained for when the tenant turns out to be an eccentric woman with nothing to lose.”
Speaking to Spanish publication Mujerhoy, the Believe star shared she was set to step back in front of the camera for the new role, but insisted it was a case of safety first
“I don’t want anyone to be in danger, including myself. They will find a way for us to do concerts and and movies and, then, I will be back,” she said.
It was a wise move from the star, who was recently hospitalised with bronchitis, brought on by asthma.
