Adam Ant has been forced out of Let’s Rock Liverpool this weekend after a member of his touring team tested positive for Covid-19.
The Stand and Deliver star was set to headline the day festival on July 31 at Wavertree Sports Park, but won’t be appearing at the concert after members of his entourage were told to isolate.
“I’m extremely disappointed having waited so long to perform again to be unable to do so this weekend, but safety is always paramount and I would like to apologise to the fans,” said Adam.

Let’s Rock organisers added: “We totally understand the reasons given for Adam and his band being unable to perform at Liverpool and we look forward to seeing him singing his hits at Shrewsbury next weekend.”
Following his departure from the line-up, China Crisis will now perform at the event with Wet Wet Wet promoted to headliners of the day.
Adam is expected to return for subsequent appearances at Let’s Rock events across the UK.
The star-studded festival kicks off at midday in Liverpool with Toyah hitting the stage, with Heaven 17, Howard Jones and Kim Wilde among the performers.
