The Veronicas are on the hunt for Australia’s best up-and-coming recording artist as part of a brand new TikTok series.
Presented by Samsung Galaxy, ‘UNDSCVRD’ features the pop duo as mentors, with social media personality and DJ Ben Gerrans hosting the series.
It documents the journey of five TikTok artists as they work alongside the Hook Me Up stars and producer James Angus to create their own original single and music video.
As part of the show, the contestants maintain complete ownership of their masters and all associated content from the series, with the option to release the single and accompanying music video.
Following its digital launch, ‘UNDSCVRD’ will conclude with a physical event in Sydney this October, where each act will perform their single live.
The winner will go on to record and release a five-track EP, and also perform a three-song set to open for The Veronicas, who earlier this year released back-to-back albums ‘Godzilla‘ and ‘Human‘.
The Untouched stars said: “Samsung’s support for independent artists with UNDSCVRD is a huge opportunity for up- and-coming musicians to forge their own path, and we can’t wait to see what happens.
Garry McGregor, Samsung Electronics Australia’s vice president of mobile, added the brand is “excited” to “play a role in inspiring and nurturing the next generation of Aussie recording artists”.
“We believe this series is going to surface up incredible talent that is pushing boundaries of what is possible, just like Samsung Galaxy,” he explained.
“Most importantly, through UNDSCVRD we are giving the next generation of independent Aussie artists the chance to super-charge their music careers.
“We couldn’t be prouder of creating this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for them.”
The four-week series launches September 9 on TikTok.
