The Fizz are supporting care workers across the UK with their new Skirt Rip Challenge.
Ahead of Eurovision weekend, the group are throwing things back for a good cause, and asking fans to recreate their iconic 1981 ESC-winning performance of Making Your Mind up – and its all for a good cause.
“Record yourself with your phone doing the infamous Bucks Fizz Skirt Rip from the Eurovision smash – MAKING YOUR MIND UP,” the Piece of the Action stars explained on social media.
“You can be a guy, a girl, alone or with family, you can rip off a skirt or even a tea towel!”
In addition to sharing clips of fans’ recreations, Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan, and Jay Aston have also asked fans to donate to The Care Workers Charity, which is supporting those on the front lines affected by the coronavirus crisis.
“COVID-19 is one of the biggest crises our generation will see in its lifetime,” The Fizz added.
“Care workers are at the frontline of this, caring for the most vulnerable people in our society who are most susceptible to the disease.”
Share your clips online with the hashtag #SKIRTRIPCHALLENGE, and remember to tag @TheFizzCMJ and @thecareworkerscharity so the group can see them all.

The Fizz will be joining in the fun too – they’ll be giving a special, virtual performance of the classic track as part of the UK’s Eurovision celebrations on Saturday night.
