Rick Astley has teamed up with comedian Matt Lucas for a virtual duet on the Little Britain star’s coronavirus charity single, Thank You Baked Potato.
In the clip, shared on Matt’s Twitter page, the pair collaborate on the tune, which sees the funnyman bring back his old Shooting Stars character George Dawes.
The lyrics of the 1:04 song emphasise UK regulations for people to only go outside for shopping or to collect medicine, for one daily bout of exercise, and to travel to work if it’s absolutely essential while the lockdown remains in place
I must be dreaming. Another duet – this time with the great @RickAstley! Would love to see YOUR videos of the song too! Rick is so brilliant I now nominate him to do his own version too! #ThankYouBakedPotato #FeedNHS https://t.co/yZo3HScHQU pic.twitter.com/mqTS0WRejQ

Matt released the single last Friday, and it rocketed to the top of the UK iTunes chart on its day of release. Funds from the sales will benefit the FeedNHS charity, helping provide food for medical professionals during the current health crisis.
So far, he’s raised over £880,000 for the organisation. You can download Thank You Baked Potato here, and donate to the cause here.
