Mariah Carey was no doubt popping corks on Friday as she marked 30 years since the release of her very first single, Vision of Love.
The Elusive Chanteuse dropped her first-ever track on 15 May, 1990 and, 30 years on, she’s still at the top of her game.
Marking the occasion, Mimi tweeted: “May 15, 1990 – the day we first ‘met’.
“Thank you lambily for giving me a lifetime of love and dreams realized,” she added, before sharing lyrics from the track.
“I’ve realized a dream
And I visualized
The love that came to be
Feel so alive
I’m so thankful that I’ve received
The answer that heaven has sent down to me!”
Mariah’s had a stellar 2020 so far – she kicked off the year at No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and also topped the US iTunes chart last month with her 2008 album, E=MC2.
The star’s self-titled debut album, which spawned a record 5 Hot 100 No.1s, also turns 30 this year.
